'95 Surbuban Engine Problem

'95 throttle body 350 4x4 auto. Engine runs fine till you put a little pull on it like going up a hill or small grade. Begins to miss, once it downshifts it does come out of it although sometimes it seems to surge up and down a pit. Could this be a sensor or distributor related? CEL comes on shortly but never stays on for any length of time. Auto places said they can't check codes unless CEL stays on.

Re: '95 Surbuban Engine Problem

Welcome to AF. They can check for history codes on that truck, find a way to do that first, their basic scanner will not do this, this could be a fuel problem or an ignition problem. BTW, we have a Suburban forum in the Chevy section, next time post there.
