2004 is a BIG year for Nissan – literally. It marks Nissan’s first entrance in the full-size truck and SUV market with the all-new Titan pickup and Pathfinder Armada sport utility vehicle (SUV). Also in 2004, Nissan takes the top off the Z® with the 350Z Roadster, the Quest minivan makes its return to the lineup with a slew of innovative features and advanced design, Nissan’s flagship Maxima is completely new and reenergized and the Sentra and Sentra SE-R receive a fresh new fascia design.

Simply put, Nissan’s 2004 product lineup is the most complete and exciting lineup ever offered from Nissan.

Following is an overview of Nissan products for the 2004 model year:

Titan King Cab and Titan Crew Cab

The all-new 2004 Titan brings an exceptional combination of powerful performance, bold styling and new level of innovation to the full-size pickup market. The Titan is built on an all-new full-length boxed ladder frame, featuring a newly designed Nissan Endurance 5.6-liter DOHC V8 with over 300 horsepower and more than 375 lb-ft of torque, controlled by a standard 5-speed automatic transmission. The Nissan Titan is available in King Cab and Crew Cab models with choice of 2-wheel and 4-wheel drive. Titan, which was conceived, developed, styled and engineered primarily in North America, will be assembled at Nissan's new $1.43 billion manufacturing facility in Canton, Mississippi. Titan will be available in late 2003.

Pathfinder Armada

The powerful, roomy 2004 Nissan Pathfinder Armada, the newest member of Nissan's diverse family of authentic sport utility vehicles, proudly takes the Pathfinder name and reputation for innovation to a new dimension. Built for outdoor family adventures, the Pathfinder Armada features a rugged, full-length boxed high-strength steel frame; an independent rear suspension; and an all-new 5.6-liter DOHC V8 engine offering one of the highest standard horsepower/torque ratings in the full-size light duty SUV class and the highest maximum towing capacity in class at 9,100 lbs. Pathfinder Armada is all-new for 2004 and will be available in fall 2003.

Quest

The all-new 2004 Nissan Quest is a revolutionary, category-redefining approach to the minivan – one that adds a highly emotional element by offering style, innovation and driving performance. The new Quest has grown in size to become one of the largest in the front-wheel drive minivan segment. Its dynamic and athletic-looking exterior is marked by a long wheelbase, wide track, and arching roofline. The Quest interior features include 2nd and 3rd row folding seats, a 10-speaker Bose® audio system, a DVD Family Entertainment System and a dramatic new Skyview™ roof glass panel system. Quest will be available in July 2003.

Key features of the 2004 Quest include:

Widest-opening sliding side doors in the segment
One of the largest interior volumes of any front-wheel drive minivan

Standard head curtain supplemental air bags to help protect 1st, 2nd and 3rd row outboard occupants in side-impact collisions

350Z Roadster

In 2004, Nissan rolls out the much-anticipated, 350Z Roadster, which continues to offer sports car lovers high performance excitement and dynamic driving experience, but with an open top. Featuring a power-operated soft top with glass rear window, the Z® Roadster is designed to transform from top-up to top-down in 20 seconds. The fully automatic soft top stows compactly under a lightweight tonneau cover, completely hiding the top when down. Z® Roadster will be available in July 2003.

Key features of the 2004 350Z Roadster include:

Unique three-lock, single latch system securely fastens top when up

Maxima

The all-new 2004 Nissan Maxima, which went on sale this past spring, continues the formula passed down from five previous generations – an unmatched blend of performance and luxury. The sixth generation Maxima combines traditional Maxima performance with expressive sports styling and bold innovation to create a top-of-the-line sports sedan. An aggressive new exterior design captures the characteristics of a performance car and a luxury sedan all in one, while a standard, industry-first Skyview™ roof creates an open interior environment for front and rear passengers.

Key features of the 2004 Maxima include:

260-horsepower 3.5-liter DOHC 24-valve V6; available 6-speed manual transmission

Optional Elite Package with 4-passenger seating layout with two rear bucket seats, rear console design resembles front console, includes power rear sunshade and cargo pass-through

350Z Coupe

The Nissan 350Z sports car, which was introduced in August 2002, has quickly become the best-selling sports car* in the United States, selling over 32,000 units (through June 2003) since launch and resenting over 25% of the sports car segment. The stylish Z® continues to offer the powerful VQ35 V6 engine producing 287-horsepower and 274 lb-ft torque.

Enhancements to the 2004 350Z Coupe:

New powered face door for navigation system
Pre-wiring for satellite radio
Addition of a driver and passenger side knee pad

New exterior color – Liquid Aluminum (late availability) *Ward’s sport performance segment (through June 2003)

Sentra / Sentra SE-R

Nissan continues to refine the fifth generation Sentra sedan with styling enhancements and additional convenience features. The 2004 Sentra and Sentra SE-R receive a redesigned front and rear fascia, along with a newly styled hood. Sentra is offered in two engines – a 126-horsepower DOHC 1.8-liter 4-cylinder engine (1.8 and 1.8 S) and a 165-horsepower (175 on SE-R Spec V) 2.5-liter DOHC 4-cylinder engine (2.5 S, SE-R and SE-R Spec V). Both are available now.

Enhancements to the 2004 Sentra / Sentra SE-R:

Interior upgrades include an enhanced Rockford Fosgate® sound quality and trip computer (standard on 2.5S and SE-R); Skyline-style sports bucket seats (SE-R Spec V)
Brembo® Brake Package (SE-R Spec V)

New exterior colors – Volcanic Orange and Sapphire Blue (SE-R and SE-R Spec V); Bronze Shimmer (Sentra)

Murano

The 2004 Nissan Murano sport utility vehicle is Nissan’s first entry into the crossover SUV segment. Introduced in 2003, Murano comes with a standard 245 horsepower 3.5-liter DOHC V6 and offers the first North American standard application of Nissan’s advanced Xtronic CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission). Also available on Murano is a new AWD system for enhanced all-weather performance.

Enhancements to the 2004 Murano:

Manual shift mode for CVT on SE Models
Added Sunroof and Touring Packages
Standard 10-way power driver’s seat with power lumber (replaces 8-way power seat with manual lumbar)

Standard satellite radio pre-wiring and available mobile entertainment system pre-wiring (reception available when properly equipped with antenna and receiver and service activated)

Altima

The third generation Nissan Altima has been an unquestionable success since its introduction as an all-new design for 2002. With its distinctive exterior design, choice of powerful 4-cylinder (175 horsepower) or V6 (245 horsepower) engines, performance-oriented suspension and class-leading roominess, Altima has had an immediate impact in the mid-sedan class.

Enhancements to the 2004 Altima:

4-cylinder models will meet the latest U.S. federal governments emissions standards (FED Tier2 Bin5) and those units sold in California (and other states with California-certified vehicles) will meet PZEV standards (late availability)

New exterior color – Smoke

Frontier, Frontier Crew Cab

The Frontier’s leadership in the compact truck segment continues into 2004. Frontier is offered in a full array of models including King Cab, Crew Cab, Crew Cab Long Bed and Supercharged (with 210 horsepower) and in a choice of 2-wheel and 4-wheel drive. Frontier offers class-leading towing capacity among compact trucks (when equipped with towing package). Available on Frontier 4x4s are Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) with Traction Control System and Tire Pressure Monitor System.

Enhancements to the 2004 Frontier, Frontier Crew Cab:

17-inch 5-spoke alloy wheels with 265/55R17 tires standard on SE; 17-inch spare tire standard on SE

New Super Value Truck Package (King Cab)

Xterra

The rugged Xterra compact SUV features an optional supercharged 3.3-liter SOHC V6 producing 210 horsepower and 246 lb-ft of torque. Inside, a 300-watt Rockford Fosgate®-powered audio system with subwoofer is standard on SE and optional on XE V6 models. The 2004 Xterra offers customers several exciting packages including a Dynamic Control Package, SE Rugged Leather Package and a Curtain Side Impact Supplemental Air Bag Package.

Enhancements to the 2004 Xterra:

17-inch 5-spoke alloy wheels standard on SE models
16-inch 4-spoke alloy wheels standard on all XE V6 models

vTwo new exterior colors – Silver Lightning and Thermal Red

Pathfinder

Nissan's popular Pathfinder sport utility vehicle continues to offer a unique combination of powerful performance and refined styling and interior comfort. Providing a blend of on-road comfort and off-road prowess, Pathfinder offers a 240-horsepower 3.5-liter DOHC V6 and available All-Mode® 4WD System.

Enhancements to the 2004 Pathfinder include:

All LE models are now Platinum Edition and include new Platinum paint (among other colors), electroluminescent gauges, aluminum kick plates and special dark wood trim

Three new exterior colors – Canteen, Luminous Gold and Platinum (LE only)
