1987 325i rumble in driveline
1987 325i- when I accelerate in first gear I get a slight (but noticeable) rumble from the driveline tunnel area. I suspect the intermediate bearing in the driveline. Has anyone changed one, or had similar symptoms? It doesnt appear to be too difficult, but any advice, or links to sites would be appreciated. thanks all

Re: 1987 325i rumble in driveline
I have an 89' 325i that had the same issue 4 years ago after 180k, yep, the intermediate bearing was shot. Had the shaft rebuilt and a new bearing pressed on (cheap), installed a new rubber guibo w/bolts and trans. rubber mounts. The cause for the wear was the worn and squashed trans. mounts.
