1:12 Tamiya Datsun Z432

Hey guys, this is my currant work, been on it for approximately a month, maybe a little more...
Started with another large 1:12 Tamiya Datsun, the Safari edition this time.
Rather than go with a 3D printed motor this time, (because there are none, lol) I am using the stock L24 motor, but I stripped the original motor of all of its external details.
The Z432 motor was actually a lot different, but I'm hoping to make this appear pretty close to what it should.

After some putty, filler strips and lots of sanding.

Adding some of the "new" details..

And a comparison shot...

A start on the water pump and water galleries.

The "NEW" twin-cam head early on....This has been torn apart this past week, it was too wide, so I've had it on a slimming diet.
Information is a lot harder to find than I thought on these motors, no results for any dimensions anywhere to be found....so it's all been 'eyeball' engineered.

In between work on the motor, I started with some chassis mods. I've never been keen on how Tamiya split the radiator support and firewall between body and chassis, so my method of fixing this is in the following. All new radiator top panel.

And the firewall after being joined, plus a few extra ribs added to it.

Some home made brake fittings, distribution block and "T"..

Re-worked the kit battery, home made terminals, new base with hold-down clamp, and a home made logo.

Also got all the fuel lines in, added a few more home made decals to almost finish up the engine bay.

So that's where we're at....still working on getting the head and rocker cover finished, hope to have an update again soon.
Thanks for dropping by, comments and/or critique most welcome.
