2017 grand caravan p083B

Transmission began whining and shifted hard into reverse parked it let it cool down overnight marked out dipstick to read the transmission fluid got it up to operating temperature check engine light came on did the key dance it came back with error code P083b fluid appeared Brown and look to be overfilled I had a filter and fluid change 60,000 miles ago I did read where people have changed fluid and filter and solenoid pack and issue went away the van does have a lifetime powertrain warranty I'd like to know if anyone knows if the solenoid pack is covered under that don't want to pay for a tow to dealer and Diagnostics to have it towed to a different shop to have it repaired any feedback would be very helpful thank you

Powertrain warranty covered it. The pump failed received a complete rebuild. 300 deductible
