2002 Chevy Astro Blower Motor Slow?

When I turn on my a/c the motor runs on all speeds but it still seems like its not blowing enough air through the vents. It's just ok but I feel that it should be moving more air. It blows the same amount of air when I turn the heat on. I thought that when the a/c is turned on the blower kicks up to a higher speed than the heat on high speed. Or is this a normal function for Chevy astro?

Blower speeds will be the same with heater or A/C. If there is not enough air from the vents, there may be a restriction in the ducting, like a mouse house, or the vanes on the blower motor cage may be plugged with debris. You can pull the motor and inspect for debris in the housing.

I have a 2002 and had the same issue- like seventieschild said--Pull the blower and get you a shop vac, flashlight and a few smaller hoses to get up into the screened area that is hard to reach. Usually find leaves and other crap that slowly chokes off your air flow.
