Aoshima McLaren F1 GTR Carbon Decals
Has anyone picked up the carbon decal sheet for the new Aoshima kit yet?
http://www.microsofttranslator.com/b...00000005544%2F Studio 27 has it listed for the Aoshima kit, but several vendors I've seen online list it for the Fujimi kit and one Ebay vendor has it listed as for both. Everyone, has it listed as item #CD24006. Just wondering if anyone who has picked a set up can verify which car it is actually for? And possibly, maybe scan the sheets/directions to share with others? I'm not sure I want to drop another $40 on some precut carbon sheets when I have like 6 sheets of the raw already. Considering the kit itself cost $45 another $40 for the CF decals seems pretty high to me. David |

Check out the enlargement posted here:
http://www.hobbyeasy.com/en/page/dat...7/CD24006A.jpg Top right of the sheet you can see (For A) - The sheet is designed for the Aoshima kit.... The detail on the sheet is a bit of a give-away too... These S27 Carbon sets are not cheap, but the ones I have are very well done. Nicely textured, and a variety of different patterns / colours often on the same single decal. |

David, if you click an image in the link you provided, it will open a pop-up window, where you can select the application guide. Fujimi's GTR Long Tail is a curbside, so this decal set is definitely for Aoshima.
I won't pay $40 for something I can easily make myself with masking tape and generic CF decals, but some might think it's worth the money for saving time. |

Re: Aoshima Mclaren F1 GTR Carbon Decals
Hiro, you were right. I didn't really look at the placement photo to see that it had way more detail then the Fujimi kit. Once my kit arrives I'll just resize the photo provided and use it as a template to make the basic shapes for the CF. But you're definitely right, either my way or the tape template is the way to go. I can pick up 4 sheets of SMS CF decal from a local hobby shop for what Studio 27 wants for their template set.

Re: Aoshima Mclaren F1 GTR Carbon Decals
Hi Guys
I´m working on a pre-shot of the Aoshima F1 GTR and I´m doing the decalwork by myself, without templates. I´m using thr CF from Scale Production and cut off the decalparts. That´s not so difficult and cheaper. Look here! Greetings Sascha |
