miles

I have a 91 accord lx wagon 5-sp with 254,000 miles young.
Needs some work but is a daily driver of 40 miles a day 6 days a week.
Still gets 27 miles per gallon and uses 2 quarts of oil per week.

Saving up for either a F22 vtec or H22 swap.

Re: How many thousand miles are you at?

my 95 ford explorer has 141,639 I've used the motor craft, maxlife, then motorcraft blend after it became available then at 136, synthetic, maybe oil choice has something to do with how long something lasts, i'm hoping to get more than 300,000 miles out of it, it will do 115-120

haha i bet that if you take your oil pan off you pistons are all black, and plus oil doesnt lubricate your pistons properly after a certain time, not good

after a certain amount of time, even if it isnt used, oil looses some compunds that are needed to lurbircate the engine, cuz a bit of air still gets into your oil pan, trust me, your engine is gonna go bye bye in a year

plus also, oil filters have little rubber parts inside it which dirt gets stuck to if dirt passes through there, after a certain time the rubbers are full of dirt and dirt just flys by and goes back into your engine
