Replacing my Honda Accord 2002 transmission. Is it a good idea?

I have posted on this thread before about my Honda Accord 2002 regarding to my blinking D4 light and TCS light coming on frequently. It has 172,000 miles on it. After much research, and keeping in mind the budget I have, I have decided to replace the current transmission with another used transmission that has about 80,000 miles on it. This is what I can afford, I can't buy a new car and I can't buy a new transmission (the dealer wants $5,000 for that). Pretend you are in my position, would you do this? The job will cost around $1500. $600 for labor and the other on the actual transmission (transmission is about $800). If I am going to replace this transmission, how much Honda transmission fluid should I buy? 12 quarts? I am also replacing the steering fluid, how much steering fluid do I need to buy?

Thank You
