Would anyone please recommend me where to find hobby shops in the said areas?
I am flying on the 7th of November.

TKS!!

Really don't know the Kyoto area, but if it's anything like the Sagamihara you shouldn't have to search that hard. I know of at least 5 within a 5 mile area. Tokyu Hands, Tam Tam and yellow hobby are pretty common chain stores.

Mr Craft in Tokyo, 5 stories of diecasts, plastic models, and trans-kits!!. do a search for the shop's website.
Nevermind, just re-read your destinations and you're not going to Tokyo. Buy a japanese car model magazine and search for companies located in Osaka or Kyoto.

Thanks!
I just returned from my Japan trip.
I stayed in Osaka for 3 nites/4 days, bought the magazine Petit Garage, it helped me to locate a few shops.
My new discovery was finding a few wholesale shops in Osaka too.
I'll post what I bought later, after unpacking my luggage.

Sounds like paradise.

@ImolaEK
Just start reading a few novels of "James Clavell" and you will learn some Japanese beside it.

Now that's a well-stocked hobby shop. I want to go there.
