is a studio27 ressin kit. There are no engine details. you are paying for the limited production run and quality of the kit. When I was in japan i picked one up but is the marlboro car. Have not buid it yet for I have been busy with my rc racing and work so all my modelling has been held.
You might find the kit cheaper on ebay but i doubt it.

F1 GTR w/engine
Hi,
I bought Profil24's Mclaren F1 GTR and it has detailed engine (all resin) and removable engine hood. There are even engine's parts that won't be ever visible after assembling. The only poor thing is tyre set. Take care, Arek The Mclaren Freak |

No argument, Studio27 are expensive, I was aprehensive before buying my first but they are definately worth it if that's the car you're after. I've done 2 Supras and the molding of the resin is amazing. Some of the metal parts need bending into shape a bit but with some work they are gorgeous, really stand out among the 'normal' kits on the shelf.
Example of parts in the kit (Supra) in these threads:- Build up Finished

ST27 Limited McLaren F1 GT-R kits:
Marlboro McLaren F1 GT-R (Zuihai race) Fina long tail - ltd to 100 pcs. EMI/Loctite long tail - ltd to 100 pcs. Gulf long tail - ltd to 100 pcs. There also a rare McLaren F1- Lark shot tail and long tail. I'm still search for it. Gulf short tail that in your link is not ltd. But if you want it so badly, get it because ST27 factory had no more stock on that pcs. Profil24 kit are the best so far, but is the fastest to OOP before it ship out to other countries. Hope that help, Rtuned |

Re: mclaren f1 GTR
Hi,
Why don't you try Profil24's Mclaren GTR? They make 2 versions - Gulf and Davidoff. I bought also Studio27's "Lark" decals but decided to build "West" event car. Profil's model is very good and much cheaper than Studios'. Want pics? Jst e-mail me. Cheers, Arek |
