'88 VOLVO 240 DL EGR valve Location
I have a 1988 Volvo 240 DL that is having issues passing SMOG here in CA. My issue is that it is a recent buy and the previous owner had it smoged and when it didnt pass, the people that did it said it might be the EGR valve. Well after looking through the happy generic Owners Manual and trying to figure it out (and replacing cracked or broken hoses along the way) I found that I have no idea where this valve is. Any Help (with pictures and almost complete step-by-step instructions would be nice) would be most apreciated.

Your's does not have an EGR as far as I know. Do a complete tuneup (plugs, wires, cap, rotor, check timing, etc...) Replace all the rubber under your hood, get rid of vaccum leaks. Make sure your o2 sensor is good.
