Any Volkswagen Beetle experts here?

I'm looking at buying an older VW Beetle for my wife who has wanted one for as long as I can remember. Problem is I have no idea about value when it comes to older Beetles. KBB doesn't go back that far lol. I just don't want to be ripped off for my lack of knowledge, or because I didn't do my research and just spur of the moment bought it.

I have found a 1962 Beetle about a 4 hour drive from us:

I know it's a lot to ask, and there are a lot of variables, but... Is this one worth the $4500 based on just the pictures and description provided? Just a give or take as to what it's worth is all I need. I just need to know if it's even worth the drive to look at.

Also if I should decide to take the drive and look at the car, what things should I look for? Aside from rust problems.

Well, I'm no expert on Beetles, but, I looked this model up on Hagerty's website valuation tool, and, this price seems quite good - if the cars a good solid condition 4 vehicle. You can look it up for yourself.
