opel...poland...cheap?!

Well, seems like most people have no idea about opel.

The Pontiac LeMans (the newer front wheel driven ones) are OPEL Kadett's...they are made in Germany. The top version has a 2.0 16v DOHC with 136kw or 150 hp. Leather interior and lots a goodies more.

The Cadillac Catera is also an OPEL...it's an OPEL Omega. Comes in many different versions...starting with a 1.8L 4-banger, all the way up to a Lotus Omega 4.0L V6 380hp turbo sixspeed.

I had a OPEL Kadett 2.0L 16V and planted a 2.0 16v Turbo out of a OPEL Calibra in it. I also put the F20 sixspeed trany in it and played with the electronic a little bit...added some hardware and ended up with 272hp. That was good for 0-60...in 4.9 sec. and she maxed out at 175mph (280kmh). At the time I lived in Germany...and the Autobahn rocks with cars like that.

The Kadett's were replaced by the Astra, which run in the DTM (German touring championship) and distribute about 650bhp to all four wheels.

Hmmm... Opel IS a german brand and Poland has nothing to do with that except one GM factory that produces Opel Astra model and something else I don't remember.

The Lotus Omega is powered by a twin turbo 3.6litre STRAIGHT-6, not v6

Actually, the current dtm cars all have the same engine (4litre V8 with approx. 400bhp) The old calibras had four wheel drive.
