GSR swap problem

my buddy is doing a b18c1 swap on his 95 civic. he went to go put his air intake on and there is not enough space between the throttle body and brake lines for it to fit. it seems as if the throttle body is sitting too low? if someone could please help me out i would appreciate it. i need to get this problem solved as soon as possible.

Re: GSR swap problem

i dont know what the problem is yet but the air intake has nothing to do with the problem. i think the problem is is that the wrong intake manifold is on the motor. it sits so low that if u wanted to put an intake on it of any kind it will run right into the brake lines. we are going to try putting a different intake manifold on it to try to solve the problem. thanks for the help

Re: GSR swap problem

It sit's low because of the gsr manifold design, get a different intake or get a skunk2 or blox or another kind of intake manifold.

I agree. The stock GS-R manifold should fit with no clearance problems at all, something must be very wrong if it's even close to the firewall/brake lines. You have any pics of this cjcivic?

He could be using different or broken mounts, or just the intake pipe wont work with the gsr manifold in the civic.

thats all i could see it being?
