oil leak...
I have an 88 944 with an embarassing oil leak problem. It seems to be coming from some unseen place in the upper rear of the engine near the firewall. Unfortunately it drips down right onto the exhaust pipe where the ecu tube joins. Is this as bad as its looking, or is it worse? How many 914's is this gonna set me back?

Re: oil leak...
Its sounds like the rear of the cam carrier. A $2.00 gasket, 10 mm wrench, and a few minutes and you will be good as new. the gasket is only made of cork so don't over tighten it.
