Used Luxo-Barge for Road Trips?

I currently own a Mazda 3. Although it's good on gas, it's a bit noisy for road trips. I make several drives across TX (Dallas/Austin, Dallas/Houston) each year, and am thinking about a used American "luxo-barge" for Sunday drives and road trips. I would keep the Mazda as my daily driver.

Here are some cars I am considering, with what I saw as the advantages/disadvantages of each. I would prefer RWD, good reliability, good passing power on the Interstate, and for the audio system to be easily replaced.

Ford Crown Victoria/Mercury Grand Marquis (2001 or newer) - Sturdy and reliable, RWD, audio easily replaced, but short on power (4.6).
Lincoln Town Car (2001 or newer) - Sturdy and reliable, RWD, audio easily replaced, but short on power (4.6).
Buick Roadmaster (1995-1996) - RWD, good power (LT1), ?? audio replacement, ?? reliability.

Cadillac DeVille/DTS (2002-2003) - FWD, audio not easily replaced, good power (Northstar).
Cadillac Seville (1995-2000) - FWD, audio not easily replaced, good power (Northstar), ?? reliability.
Cadillac Fleetwood (1994-1996) - RWD, good power (LT1), audio not easily replaced, ?? reliability.

The Caddys apparently have some diagnostic hardware in the radio head unit. What can be done to install an aftermarket audio system in one of the Caddys? Does the Ford Modular 4.6 (220 - 239 hp) have enough passing power to get around a semi going 65-70 on the Interstate? Also, how reliable are the GM engines (Northstar and LT1) compared to the Ford Modular 4.6?

Thanks,

JD

I am a caddy fan but gramps has a mint 96 lincoln town car and that 210 horse power will do work on the interstate (It will cruise at 105 effortlessly), It isn't a vette but it will do the job and it will turn up to 24 mpgs at 75.
