Unhappy Hit The Curb!!! 95 Sls!

I was taking a corner last night and my car skidded and I ended up hitting the curb with my front right wheel. (Broke my rim and tore my tire)..the wheel now is bent inside and I am planning on taking it to the shop tomorrow. When I turn the wheel my left front turns normal but the car does not move of course because the right wheel is stuck. Does anyone know what the problem might be. A guy who came over to help me said it was the strut and he said its not too expensive to fix. Any ideas on what it might be and how much it would cost to fix? Thank you.

Re: Hit The Curb!!! 95 Sls!

that guy lied...struts for an sts (like everything else) are expensive. like 1500 bucks for a set of factory ones..plus install. there is a company online that sells an aftermarket set of struts (assuming thats what is wrong) for much less. i think the company is arnott or something like that. do a search online for them. they could save you a few bucks and there products are great...i want to say the struts are like 500 bucks from arnott. but its been awhile. and this is assuming thats what is wrong with your car...cant tell by not seeing it in person...sorry
however it sounds like more than a strut...a strut basically acts like a spring and a shock in one unit, they control keeping the car level and absorbing bumps..they dont control steering...sound like you need more than a strut

Get it looked at by someone who knows what's what, could be a bent knuckle where the tie rod connects also.
