Making a sleeper.
Hello everyone.
I have a 1998 Buick Park Avenue Ultra. It has GM Series II 3.8L V6 with a factory supercharger. I want more horsepower. I can't find ANY mods for my car on the net. Maybe someone can help me find good mods for my engine, suspension and tranny to make my beautiful Ultra a sleeper. Thank you.

If this section of AF is about street racing stories, then I really could care less if the story was about a UPS and Fed-EX delivery truck race where they are neck and neck at 50 when all of a sudden a DHL truck blows both of them away because he got his deliveries done early and had less weight. |

Do a search for Pontiac Grand Prix GTP parts, check out here-
http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...play.php?f=386 and here- http://www.clubgp.com/ Both cars have the same motor.

Thank you for a reply. I broused through the sotes that you posed but I am concerned about whether it is going to fit my engine compartment. To wogBoy: Sleeper is a car that is not riced out outside, but inside it has lots of mods and power to take on faster cars.

Re: Making a sleeper.
most of the parts at www.thrashercharged.com will work with your car, especially the pulley kits.

Re: Making a sleeper.
if you just want your car to go faster, go for the bigger pulleys and maybe exhaust system, this will give you enough extra power for you to notice without having to do a big job. the pulleys are pretty easy to change, you basically loosen the belt, unbolt the old one, bolt on the new one, then tighten the belt. exhaust is a bit more in depth and you might want a muffler shop to do it for you if you don't know how to do it but it's still farely easy.

Re: Making a sleeper.
If you want more power you need to get a smaller pulley. It will allow the supercharger to spin at a higher RPM, and will create more PSI. The problem is, you will generate more heat and cause knock retard. You can get new plugs that run colder to compensate KR. Also you cant just loosen the bolt to the pully to change. You need to get a special puller. Go to thrasher.com to see.

Re: Making a sleeper.
One question: how much money are you willing to spend? If you have some money, get a new computer, supercharger, you can bore it out, maybe new rods, cold air intake, high performance exhaust, look for parts for grand prix gtp parts becaus they are the same motor and are modified more than buicks are

Re: Making a sleeper.
this is a year old thread, if you would like to start your own thread asking a question about something (after searching the forums of course, there's a search button above and to the right of the forum page) go ahead but please don't bring up old threads.
