99 Intrigue Relearn Procedure

I did a bypass on my 99 Intrigue 3.5 GL a couple years ago and the car ran great until I got a new battery. I did the relearn procedure and repeated as necessary but it still doesn't work. I bypassed the ignition switch so it can't be that , right? Anyone heard of a passkey III? I just found it on the interwebs. Turns out there are different keys and each has a different relearn procedure. Sounds crazy, but I think it's worth a try.

Re: 99 Intrigue Relearn Procedure

The car was just acting crazy and not starting, so I realized it had to be the passlock. I did the relearn (it took 4 of them) and this time there hasn't been any problems. The relearn procedure for the passkey involves turning the key to "on" instead of "start", which might have done the trick, or maybe the planets were aligned just right, who knows. If the relearn didn't work I was gonna pull the BCM (where passlock data is stored) and inspect the connections and then maybe get a new one because they're cheap ($70) and get it flashed (basically selecting the make, model, etc on a screen) at a garage which sounds like it should take about 2 minutes.
