Fuel filter

Just a quick question. How often should the fuel filter be changed?? It was done a couple of years ago when the car was brought into the country. I've had it for a year and I don't think it's something that normally gets changed at a service (correct me if I'm wrong). So is it about time that I changed it?

How many miles are on it. If your in doubt then you might aswell change it. They aren't much. I usually do mine ever 50-70K

It's done 80K (I've only done 10K since I bought it) and the guy told us that he changed all the filters when he brought it into the country (which would have been about 30K ago).

I change it once a year regardless of mileage. That's just me.

Side note. I deleted the other post that you had. This one will still show when they press "view new posts". So I'll move this one to the FTO forum.

I'm so lazy, I only change them when they clog up. If you don't have any rust or anything in your gas tank, it's not a big deal. I've heard every 50K.

I think most service manuals show 25,000 to 30,000 miles.

I generally don't change mine until I'm under there doing something else, regardless of miles.

Thanks everyone for your help. By the sounds of it I probably won’t need to change my filter for about another year.
