2002 Taurus disable Daytime running lights
How to disable DRL-
1) Find the little black box to the right of the battery. 2) Remove cover 3) Pull the smaller of the 3 middle Relay/fuse out. Actually if the engine was on, it would feel hot to touch, because the resister is taking some of the load from the DRL. The other two Relays are for the coolant fans + Brake. Re: 2002 Taurus disable Daytime running lights
Is the car has OEM fog lights, there will be another similar relay beside the DRL relay. The DRL relay is the one more aligned with the offset relay above it.

Re: 2002 Taurus disable Daytime running lights
I couldn't find K5(fuse/relay) in the owners manual, there' s no fog lights or K26 on this car.
K26 pos would be a good spot for LED FOG/ DRL. It's probably best to run parking lights on, if there's a need for DRL, we can call them DRL/Parking light switch. Safe drivers have been using parking lights before dusk for many years, this will give better marker lights around the car instead of high power halogen head lights for DRL.
