How Can I Find a 1973 Fury III 2DR HT?

From my childhood the car of my father's I remember the most was his 1973 Plymouth Fury III 2-door Hardtop. It was brown with a white roof and off white interior from what I can remember and man did that thing move. I remember sinking into the seat when he hit the gas. I remember the huge doors that felt like they weighed 200lbs each. Ahh memories.

Well I decided I want to find one of these beauties, but I've had pretty much no luck. I've only found a handful of 73 Fury IIIs and pretty much all of them are 4-doors. Were the 2-door HT III's really that less common than the 4-doors?

Also, I'd like to find a good source to read up on what options were available then, what engine options, etc. Any direction you can give in either of these areas is breatly appreciated.

Where have you searched? There are a number of options to locate hard to find vehicles. If I were looking for a certain make model or style of car, I'd get a copy of Hemmings Motor News, a monthly publication of both private sale ads and commercial ads all aimed at antique and classic car hobbyists. Another source is eBay. With eBay, you can set up a notification by email when someone posts an auction that meets certain words in your search. You can use words like "1973 Plymouth Fury III, 2dr HT", and eBay will send you an email if someone puts up an auction for one of these vehicles. One other source would be Craigslist. There is a site on the Internet that lets you search all the Craigslists available by using certain search words. Again you can use those same search parameters you would for eBay.

Thanks for the input. I've had a search up on eBay for a bit, so I'm just keeping an eye on there. I've checked local listings, but haven't tried the craigslist idea much so I'll give that a whirl. I know you can search all of craigslist in a google search by adding +site:craigslist.org so I'll give that a look as well as allpar and the catalog yall mentioned.

Thanks again.

I personally use www.tinypic.com . There I upload the pics from my computer and then copy the code they give you for "forums and message boards', make sure it's formatted correctly,(i.e.tagged with . There are other free photo hosting sites out there that you can use, and I wonder if tinypic and Photobucket are owned by the same company as one day I went to tinypic to upload a photo and got the message that the site was down for maintenance. I then went to Photobucket and received the same message. The messages even looked the same.

No that's not it.Mine says that too. Pics aren't considered attachments as they are within the post. There are some members who have trouble posting pics for some unknown reason,( computer settings, something clashing with the site , etc.) perhaps you may be one too.
