Oil problem

Hi,

I have a BMW 3 series, and over the last few months, my oil keeps getting really low.

I have to top it up once a week and its very frustrating!

My friend told me to mix lots of sawdust into the oil before topping it up as the sawdust will make it thicker? and I will not lose so much oil if I do this.

I done this last week, and now my car wont start.

what can I do? Have I done something wrong?

Please help.

LOL, sawdust in oil? That just doesn't sound right, I wouldn't try it.
