Impressive masking on a complicated livery
Is it cleared already in the shots?

Re: Cayman Interseries | modern racers with historic liveries
Thanks for the comments !
No Steve, first I must "repair" some imperfections, then I cover the body with clear. This will be followed by some sanding, to bring the edges of the colours to an even level. After that I can add the decals

Re: Cayman Interseries | modern racers with historic liveries
Fantastic masking job! It would be a pain to decal this... On the other hand - to paint this without suffering problems shows certain skills. Way to go!

Re: Cayman Interseries | modern racers with historic liveries
... dito dito.... but lokks like Micha need much touch ups to achieve a superb result, I'm curious.
For sure it is a quite tricky mask job, but with complex shapes I would use frisket film insthead paper tape. I'm sure it would be better than mine: I got a tricky committment also: the nose of my psycho Cayman would be a real nightmare and I dubt it would come out perfect... I'm curious to size my skills and my patient also!

Re: Cayman Interseries | modern racers with historic liveries
just curious:isnt there any other livery still free for a model?
Do u make custom decals for each model by yourside or somebody provides it with the transkit?

Re: Cayman Interseries | modern racers with historic liveries
I'm just wondering something...
Is this contest only opened to track racing liveries or a rally livery can also be chosen...? I don't see any for the moment... Last edited by rallymaster; 05-02-2010 at 03:20 PM. |

Re: Cayman Interseries | modern racers with historic liveries
If I had the time.... The Sandeman is very tempting indeed. Lucky one who chooses to build it...
One question that might have been answered already, but do you only build liveries that appeared in the Interseries at this moment or do you also include "fantasy" Caymans incorporating older liveries that are not being raced at the moment? Robert

Great work from everyone. I love those liveries!
That Frankfurt show is slowly but surely creeping on the "to go" list :-) |
