MP3 CD Changer

I have a Mercury Sable 1999 with a factory installed 6-disc CD changer in the trunk. I've been considering upgrading the CD changer to one that supports MP3 CDs but keeping the same factory installed dash unit.

Does anyone have any experience doing this? Specifically, I wanted to know:

1) If the new CD changer is 10-12 disc, can I easily go past the 6th disc since my previous unit was limited to 6? One guy I spoke to at a radio/stereo store said he thought the only way to go past the 6th disc was to just let it play, that you couldn't select any CDs higher. Is this true for my car?

2) My dash is also limited to 99 songs whereas on MP3 cds you could have as many as 300. Can you select songs higher than 99 or do you have to just let it keep playing?

3) Does the dash unit support the text title of the MP3 files?

Thanks! -MercurySableGuy7
