Where are the posts?

I know. There are plenty of Mercury fans out there. Where are they? To bad. I really like the late '60s Cougars. Very nice styling.

71 Cyclone Spoiler 429 CJ

I was the owner of a brand new, factory ordered 1971 Cyclone Spoiler 429 CJ 375 HP C6 auto transmission, competition green in colour. A very fast car. Remembering it takes me back to my younger years when I purchased it. Total price in Canadian dollars April 1/1971 was $5400. A lot of memories went with the vehicle. It was well known around the village I lived in, Innerkip Ontario, as the "Green Monster". I would love to have it back but that is what memories are about.

Wow. Those cars bring in quite a bit of cash these days. I know my dad's friend's son purchased one a year or two ago. I am pretty sure it was from the original owner, or his wife, who was pretty old. I think he got a deal. Great car.

Re: Welcome Mercury muscle car fans!

Mercury's by their nature are quite rare. Those Cyclones were nice (especially with the 429CJ).

Angry I need help.

Im new to the restoration scene and need some help. Im looking for a 60s Comet Cyclone with a good body and all chrome. Paint ,power train and interior arent important. The one problems I have are the web sites where people have posted their cars for sale are all 2-3 year old posts. Or I find a professional restoration shop that wants $25k for one. I know the cars are rare but i could find one in a scrap yard and work on it myself for less. Anyone know of more current or active sales forums? Or maybe you know a guy thats selling what I need. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in Advance
-Chris-

Cougars in Sacramento

Dont know of any place specifically in Sacramento but a good parts company is West Coast Cougars. Their URL is www.classic-cougar.com If you have any questions let me know I own three 68 Cougars and have gotten pretty knowledgeable about them over the last couple of years. They are great cars. Good luck. Steve
