2001 pt cruiser solenoid pack is leaking
I can tell that my solenoid pack is leaking, but exactly where? don't know!
it is either leaking out between the solenoid where it sits on top of the trans.or it is leaking out of the front plate of the solenoid. the dealer says that i have to replace the whole solenoid, but is not shifting funny and i keep the fluid up so it does not burn of the trans. So my question is should I just replace the gasket between the solenoid?? or replace the whole solenoid itself. the reason I ask this question is because the mechanics shop said that they see alot of the gaskets leak, but then the dealership says that it is was a bad gasket that causes the solenoid to leak in the front of the solenoid so the whole thing should be replaced. ( maybe someone out here has had this problem and can give me some insight) thanks |
