let me explain something
that mustang isn't meant for top end. it has 300 lbs of torque and has a low red line. race him in the 1/4 mile and find out how he does on low end.

If he is at 135mph and ahead of you and hits the brakes. I think he had you and you just did a ricer fly-by at best.

BUT THE INTAKE!!!! 20 HP BOX SAYS SO!!!
Sorry man I just dont see a Prelude pulling on a V8 Mustang anywhere. It would be one thing if you were talking about an early 80's or 70's Mustang but you're giving me the impression this was around an 87+ Mustang.

Not flaming or anything, I also raced a mildly-modded Fox-body on the freeway when I had my 1990 Integra with a b16 (guesstimated power: 200HP). After 120 or so, it just seemed like he hit a wall and I'd pull at least 3 cars on him. No, Fox-bodies were NOT governed. Think about this: 1994 Prelude VTEC Curb Weight: 2850lbs Horsepower: 190 Pounds-per-HP Ratio: 15.0:1 1994 Mustang GT Curb Weight: 3400lbs Horsepower: 215 Pounds-per-HP Ratio: 15.8:1 I understand that there is a reason the Mustang is called a "Pony car", but when I hear "Sorry man I just dont see a Prelude pulling on a V8 Mustang anywhere.", I can't help but think that that is coming from inexperience with the vehicles being discussed. Basically, YES a Prelude can pull on a Mustang SOMEWHERE.

I'm a ford man, and a fan of muscle in all its forms...but preludes are a match for 74-97 stangs no problem in my eyes

Look my prelude has taken all years of mustang yeah there quick in the quarter mile. BIG DEAL. Im just sayin the rice rocket doesnt need all those cylinders to be quick it just is. because my car is more fuel efficient than your gas guzzler ill be passing your "stang" at the gas station. thats probably why the guy slowed down he had to stop for gas!my little 2.2 will whip your 4.9 or 4.6 or 5.0, or whatever BIG number you need to think your cool,cars butt. hats off to those japanese engineers they put you big block boys in the rearview mirror

All you're doing is propagating a possible flame war. I'm not having it. Let's just leave it at, "your car has its strengths and weaknesses, just like ANY other car".

I've seen and done many things in my 20 years, but for some reason, the picture in atrain's post is hillariously disturbing.
