03 Pontiac Grandam Mod Cold Air Intake or Short ram?

Hey everyone this is my first post. I have a 03 Pontiac Grand am with a 4 cylinder engine. I've been looking for cold air intakes and I'm having a hard time finding anything. I'm finding a lot of short ram intakes but not CAI. The CAI I have found are cheap and I'm a firm believer of you get what you pay for so I'm not inclined to buy one that's $60. The short ram intakes look nice and are much easier to put on but based on what I've read, CAI are better.

What are y'all thoughts? Is a CAI that much better than short ram and if so where can I find one that's not going to break the bank but also isn't cheap as dirt?

The difference in gains are minimal. Stick with a short ram for a little bit of looks and a little bit of intake noise. You won't have to worry about sucking up water if you drive through a puddle either.

That was my thinking. They said you could get a CAI and in the rainy season switch to a short ram. First I don't want to buy two., second, I live in Virginia and rainy season here is whenever it decides to show up lol thanks for the help!
