Re: Show us your F1 Memorabilia / F1 related items you've bought

Not a bad price (ca. 41 EUR/55 USD "buy-it-now" without shipping) if it is authentic but does anyone know the manufacturer? Also a little bit confusing is the "GT" - does that hint generally to the Japan GT Championship series (JGTC) as all the official logos had it "Team LARK McLaren GTR".

Re: Show us your F1 Memorabilia / F1 related items you've bought

Generally watches like this are inexpensive pieces meant to commemorate a sponsor's ties to racing. That price is a little less than most other sponsor type logo gear that I've seen/bought both in Japan and the US. If you buy it, do it because it has a logo that you like... not because you want an authentic McLaren piece.

Would I buy it? Sure. And stick it in a glass case next to my other McLaren watch.

It's fugly!

Just cheap rip-off merchandising, like the dodgy Ferrari and McLaren "team" jackets i've seen on Ebay ... and on the streets too, with dodgy embroidery and obviously no official accredation.

Re: Show us your F1 Memorabilia / F1 related items you've bought

At the weekend, I visited at some old stuff store near at Helsinki.
I saw this poster standing on the wall.
Of course I went to look it closer and it turn out to be Finish Post Office's cardboard. The other side of these images of GTR's, CLK and Porsche were all like postcards, you know. Just cut the image ouf the cardboard and you have perfectly postcard.

Also this seemed to be the an official Helsinki Thunder material, but the price:
16€! Of this!

What you thinki this real worth would be?
If an orginal BMW Motorsport's posters can get under 5€ from EBAY, this shouldn't be any more expensive, or is it?!

I have planned to go back there near at the future, just trying to get it cheaper..... Just needed to have some advice what to tell the saler.
This poster was the only Motorsport related item whole store... So I think the saler really don't know the real value of this. 16€ is way too much I think!

PS. Sorry this bad quality image, I took it by phone....

When finished, I'll show some pics.

What about some pictures of that crash in the first lap of the Fia GT race at Spa in 1997, when all 3 Gulf Davidoff McLarens crashed out of the race together, nobody has pictures of that weird moment?
Or have some tips for a (famous) photographer in that time, who I can ask?

The result of some home work.
I made a swith in the support bracket at the back to switch between normal and high beam.
And also a dimmer in the ac/dc converter to vary the brightness for use in the living room.

Normal beam

High beam

Well color me jealous. That's some amazing practicality at work there.

Re: Show us your F1 Memorabilia / F1 related items you've bought

Now needed some advice from you all, what should I do with this postcard Poster?!

Managed to buy this one this week. Quite cheap.
It's Finish Post's official's release to the Helsinki Thunder race weekend 1997.
It has these 6 post cards with an orginal bought stamps. Mean; those 6 post stamps seen these cards (Toyota Celica and Mini) are real, not emplazoned stamps. Real stamps. 3,50 priced that time.
The other side this poster is postcard. The purpose has been, that you can cut of the cards on that carton and send the cards.

So...have anyone advice to give?
What should I do, cut it or not?
Sofar, I save it non cutted, the GULF McLaren on the background doesn't help the decision.
But maybe this should be kept like this format.....
What you think?!

I would definitely save it as it is, uncut, more valuable so. If you cut it to pieces, it's not even half as valuable, and what would you do to the rest pieces from between the cards?

I'd frame it, and use a double glass frame so that you can take it off the wall and show the back side if needed and without removing the frames first. Just my .
