2000 olds silhoutte premeire
my van is not starting right when the engine is hot.acts like its starving for gas/not firing.say I drive it for 30 minutes, then turn it off,and 5 minutes later try to start it again,no luck!you can pat the gas to try and keep it running but that dont work,it just sputters and pops...its also starting act cut out while driving it.put it on a machine at local parts store and it read,SYSTEM TOO LEAN BANK 2.possibly an o2 sensor.? looking for advice on this before i go blowing $ on parts that i dont have to waste.hoping i could fix it myself and save a little... any help is greatly appreciated!!! thanx JT

Re: 2000 olds silhoutte premeire
Bank 2 is passenger side? On a transverse mounted engine?
Since the engine only has a pre and a post, they have to be bank1sensor1(pre), bank1sensor2(post)...customer is mistaken....wonder if it's even a hard code or history.... Could be any number of things, but doubt it's an O2 sensor, on start up.....could be ECT sensor, vac leak, MAF sensor, F/P reg leak, etc. |
