NNL East 2015 aka Flyonthewall in the usa
This weekend at our NNL East model show in NJ, I got to meet a long time member, Flyonthewall-aka Chris Hales, former SAS resin man, current C1 models man. Such a great dude! It's so cool that even where we are, from all over the world, we can still connect in person some day!
I'm not sure if you'll all be able to see my facebook album. https://www.facebook.com/ntfxaviert/...7522637&type=3 But here are some others online: These are not my pics. http://public.fotki.com/MIKEHENSLEY/...2015-nnl-east/ http://public.fotki.com/mamaprez/mod...nnl-east-2016/ |

Wish I could have been there this year, maybe next year.
Or maybe we can convince Chris to come to the ACME NNL in November. That would be awesome

That's cool! If I weren't travelling for work commitments, I would have been there! Chris is the guy that really got me into modelling, after finding some SAS parts on eBay and asking him some questions, he directed me to this wealth of information and it's been quite a ride since! I have met some great people and have him to thank for it all.
Thanks, Chris! Bummer I missed you.

Was 99% sure i spotted the elusive blubaja in the display hall, but on the off chance that it wasnt your bearded goodness, i did not make an introduction.
Our group left a bit early, have they posted the contest winners? |

Very cool!! I consider Chris to be a friend and I HATE that I wasn't able to make it to the show this year.

Hah! Sorry I also left early. I'll try to find out the winners, and post. I do know that Chris won the award for furthest distance.

Thanks for the link with the winners. I would like to note that the winner of the "Gassers", Ken Denza, is from Hillsboro - New Hampshire, not New Jersey. He's member of the Classic Plastic Model Club in Lowell, MA as well as Alex, who won the Best Junior award. It was a great show! It was my second year straight and I am planning on going again for the next years to come. I had three models on the tables, the 1963 Lotus Ford Indy car, a 1971 John Greenwood's Starts & Stripes Corvette and the 1980 Williams FW07 Ford Holland GP. Regards, F1-fan |

Well snap, missed the show. In the midst of relocating and everything else going on I forgot to check the dates....

Haha! Only just seen this. Cheers Frank!
Wow! Some lovely comments here, thanks guys I'm touched! I'm so glad that I made the trip and did not put it off until next year. It was so worth it. I've been wanting to get myself stateside and connect with fellow AF members ever since I became a member of the forum. We don't get standalone model car shows in the UK, the model geeks in this country prefer their wings & armour and they are a completely different breed of geek :o. So, it's nice to meet some normal model making nerds and finally put some names to faces. My first NNL East was a test run...The seed was planted (to attend) last November. In the new year the idea got more serious, so I started work on six brand new kits to release in time for the show and appeal to the American audience. It was a lot of hard work!... Sadly, it didn't quite go according to plan, thanks to the airline losing my luggage. Therefore, the majority of the new kits didn't make it along with everything I prepared to set up a presentable display. Thankfully, I had shipped a large amount of the inventory over a few weeks earlier. Which was more than enough to make it a successful show. A special thanks to everyone who came along to purchase something. I was a little overwhelmed by how popular the stand was on the day. After 2 hours, a good 85% of the stock had gone and there were a few disappointed faces on those that missed out. I know to bring more next time.... So, there WILL be a nextime!...I plan to return next year with more stock and more new products. I also have my sights on Atlanta in November, so I plan on speaking to Bob Downie about that one Hopefully I can make it to other shows, perhaps something on the west coast too??? Chris.
