Hey everyone,

Just registered on this forum because i saw this thread, and since nobody got it right i hafto add some things ;-).

"Koenigsegg" the name, isn't swedish, the owner is from Germany, that's why the crazy name! Mr. Koenigsegg just lives in Sweden with his family and his great cars :-). And the production of the car is just 20minutes from my home .

The pronounciation is just the way it spells, Koe-nig-segg, but you say it a little quick, and you get it right ;-).

This was a pretty sweet forum, i will check it out now

I agree proper engineering and a good bit of money you could make almost any vehicle spank the crap out of anything Zedex I have to give you props on that info, it's like better than their web page! I think ty00n is correct on the pronounciation the word König is German for King Koenig is in english which does make sense, and i saw a Top gear video on the Koenigsegg if you have Warez or any P2P program you could find it is a badass video, check it out!!! and props again zedex

Re: Koenigsegg CCR information and pictures... (Under construction)

I have a little question Zedex, the thread states that the CCR uses a Lysholm twin-screw supercharger, but there is a pic of a Vortech centrifugal super charger? about typos did'nt homer say "I am a rageoholic, I just can't live with OUT rageohol !" just lookin out man

Kon-nig-zeg(thats how they said it on Top Gear), now say it 5 times fast

Re: Koenigsegg CCR information and pictures... (Under construction)

Lysholm is the style of supercharger I am pretty sure... Zgringo could answer that question probably, he is a supercharger guy.

And yea, that is a Vortech centrifugal supercharger... Hmmm... Gringo? Any input here?

And yea, your right about my signature... Damn I think I've got a problem with typos... My brian muts be messing up

(That last sentence was a joke... In case anyone is lost)

O and thanks for the props fella's

Lysholm is the manufacturer that produces the supercharger.

Lysholm is currently known as Opcon, they make alot of different solutions for companys.

"Lysholm"/"Opcon" is or was a swedish company.

Re: Koenigsegg CCR information and pictures... (Under construction)

I see said the blind man, I wonder why they didnt used a centrifugal supercharger versus a screw type?? isn't the centrifugal design more efficient and capable of more boost, hence its turbo like design. i am I right or is there some other reason ;>

Twin Screw is the most efficient, According to Lysholm.

Most luxury/high exotic/supercars don't really have the shortest shifters.

And if you think that's high, go look at 4 on the floor :P

The Koenigseggs (CC8 and CCR) are my alltime favorite cars, and I've been so fortunate to have seen the CCR twice. At the Oslo Grand Prix Offshore Class One race they displayed the CCR and started the engine.. I fell instantly in love..

Some pictures I took:
