what type of muffler do you have??

ok, i dunno if this topic's been discussed or not recently, but i was gonna get a high flow muffler, but i dont know what brand and type to get, i need some advice on what type of setups you all have. I dont want a loud one, just a nice rumble for a daily driven car. I was looking for a muffler that just goes with the bend, like a stock replacement, but i hear that the bends suck a bit of hp, and just getting the straight muffler means that i will have to modify my rear bumper to fit the muffler right, or buy a kit? Please hook me up with some info, thanx.

-tee

By the way, does it matter what the motor is when determining the muffler because i've got an 94 h22a in mine......

You have an H22 in your Civic? We need pictures, pronto.

As far as mufflers, I have a DynoMax Super Turbo muffler in 2.5" bent to look stock but bigger.

Hmm.... so do your mufflers stick out of the original driver's side of the car? or do they stick out the passenger side? Is it true that the bends at the end of the exhaust suck some hp??
It's been awhile since i've been here so i dont know what happened to my pix but i'll post some soon.....

Re: what type of muffler do you have??

I have a cheap Focuz muffler w/ 2.5" piping. Gained good power especially at the high rpm's. Sound isn't my favorite but it isn't bad.

Re: what type of muffler do you have??

it not loud at all. its a low mellow tone. it gets mean sounding up in the higher revs but never obnoxisly loud.

i'll second that! how the heck are ya doing? i figured you long forgot about us by now

i have an axle-back made by tenzo. it runs around $250-ish and bolts right up. i have nothing bad to say except we just ordered one for jer a couple of months ago and it arrived welded backwards. when he called tenzo about it they found out a grip of them had the mistake. if you care to read more about it do a search for a thread by me titled "tenzo says oopsie" there are pics of the exhaust in that thread.
