Re: New Champ Car chassis for 2007

i enjoy champ car honestly (one of the few). but i think it would be better for the sport if they just joined with IRL. combine the tracks and the series, thats the only way indy cars have a shot at making a comback in america, and they need to get some american short track guys rather than a bunch of F1 wannabies.

Re: New Champ Car chassis for 2007

the 2 series are now too different to ever reasonably rejoin, people need to give up on that and take the series for what they are.

I can see some F1 inspiration in the new chassis.

i was just thinkin the same thing. i stand by my first post, especially now that it looks like a merger is likely. and champ car needs to not try to be F1, its not

Re: New Champ Car chassis for 2007

the good thing about this is that when the two american series merge, it is very likely that this chassis will still be used.

I was watching the San Jose Grand Prix and they said the new Panoz DP01 is built to the highest crash standards of any open-wheel race car in the world.

Cosworth and Champ Car

Cosworth was previously a subsidiary of the Ford Motor Company, but has been owned by Gerald Forsythe and Kevin Kalkhoven since 2004.

Gerald Forsythe, Kevin Kalkhoven, and Paul Gentilozzi own the Champ Car World Series.
