Re: Rally New Zealand 2004
Not to be. Crocker struck trouble and fell to third, leaving Herridge to inherit the win. Stohl was the first of the PWRC cars home in between the two Aussies.

Championship Standings have been closed up somewhat post Rally NZ. Now only 3 points separating the four main protagonists for the title. Must be the first time Martin has led the points table outright? 26 Martin 25 Loeb 24 Gronholm 23 Solberg Same with the Constructors. Ford’s lead (while still healthy) has been eaten into by Peugeot and Subaru. 47 Ford 38 Citroen 33 Peugeot 31 Subaru (Lets not embarrass Mitsubishi) Last edited by RallyRaider; 04-18-2004 at 02:18 AM. |

Subaru wins for the first time this year. One win is a loooooong way from a championship, and Subaru didn't win a championship last year, Solberg did.

Re: Rally New Zealand 2004
Subaru are not really interested in the championship. Constructors that is. If Burns had been driving alongside Solberg this year as planned it might have been different. Dare I say it McRae would have made a difference too, but Prodrive passed on him.
