Wow! I voted for Martin too! :hehehe:
Maybe they've got rid of the gremlins in the new Focus, if so it should give the Peugeots a run for their money BTW - Ray, sorry for your loss.

Wow. Back from holidays and I thought this place would be jumping with all the Markko fans, but it is dead quiet! Hope he can hold it together and take a deserved first win. If only to stop Burns scoring more points!
A shame about Gronholm and even more so for Rovanpera. Harri could be out of a job next year thinks to the FIA's stupid new third driver rule. So it would be nice for him to have some luck for a change and win another rally. |

It is quiet over here indeed. Markko looking strong and Petter giving Carlos a fight for second!
Unfortunate for the Belgians also. When is this Accent going to work properly?? Anyway, looks like Freddy Loix is going to be Pug's 3rd driver next year. Should be interesting. |

Congrats to Markko for a very well deserved first WRC win! There are certainly more to come.
A fine drive by Carlos also, who made the most out of this event by taking second. He's now firmly into second position - 5 points down to that British Pug-driver anyway, Citroën also closing on Peugeot in the constructors. |

Some more:
LOL @ Solberg smashing into the back of McRae And another great job for Carlos - he's always there! I think he could actually win the championship this year. (no, he's not my first choice, but he could do it!)

I actually got to watch the Rally highlights the same weekend of the rally this weekend!
Good job by Marko for an excellent controlled driver and for getting a well deserved win. Damage control by Burnsie It's getting kinda tiring Richard, how about pushing for a win? Petter tail-ending Colin was priceless..... Carlos showing a well-measured drive to capitalise on points, and who didn't want to sign this guy? He's showing better form than the 2 'hot-shots' he is team mates with. A good rally with a good result, but the points system is making the racing for points more valuable than racing for wins.......getting a bit monotonous!

Saw (most of) the highlights of the Acropolis on the weekend. What a moment for Markko when his bonnet flew up like that and reduced his visibility. I guess he was lucky he usually has that wide strip at the top of his windscreen and is used to looking out of a postbox size slit anyway.
Missed Hollywood doing the Liberachi to the wee Scott. |
