Coolant leaking

I had to replace the water pump in my car and a week after I replaced it it started leaking coolant everywhere. I took it back and the said it was a defective water pump and gave me a new one. Two months later its doing the same thing again. Could it be the water pump or something more? (When the first pump went The temp gauge got stuck in the hot zone and I can't get it back down.) as a side note.

I also have smelt at least ahint of coolant like everyday randomly since I got the car.

Re: Coolant leaking

I would go to Auto Zone or Advanced auto and get a loaner pressure tester.

A lot of these have a bypass hose close to the pump. Pressure test the system use a flashlight and look at hoses and other areas it can leak.
Run the engine with appx. 10 psi if the gage pulsates check the head gasket.
