Re: Toyota Crown Athlete

Paintjob could be better, if it wasn't prepainted by Aoshima.
Seats are too gloss with black inserts and look too flat without shading.

Good work overall!

Maybe you're right about shading.
But semi-gloss black paint on the seats looks normal. I have to use matt color? I don't think this is right solution for all cases.

The problem with paint is glitter – it looks out of scale on 1/24 model. I guess you wanted to get pearl paint job effect?

I usually add a coat of semi-gloss clear on top of semi-gloss paint on interior.

This is Tamiya's TS. But I don't remember specific number.
Maybe I've made mistake in Photoshop when I increased sharpness.

Over semi-gloss. As I see the black inserts on seats look glossy and not matt.

But anyway you've done a great job. And your next build should be better.

Semi-gloss coat will give a little more gloss than only semi-gloss paint.
Maybe you think so because you see brightly lamp reflection?

Non-russian forum is the best place for this. There are no forums in Russia for discussions.
