Early 2000 Tahoe
Used Tahoe for farming this Spring. Parked in open machine shed till now. I had a total knee replacement done. Fired it up to drive and found out my brake lights quit. The cruise works. Also now my wipers if turned on will not stop till I shut the engine off...………….

Re: Early 2000 Tahoe
Welcome to AF
Is your Tahoe an "Old Body Style" (looks like a '97) or a "New Body Style (looks like an '02)? '98-'00 were transition years between the two with big differences electrically. Look for mice nests and chewed wiring.

Re: Early 2000 Tahoe
It's the old style. Will check underneath tomorrow and under the hood better. I bought a Gleaner F2 combine at a sale last year.. The rats ate most of the wiring harness up in the console.

Re: Early 2000 Tahoe
OK, good. More ?'s. Do the rear turn signals work? Do the rear hazards work?

Re: Early 2000 Tahoe
The turn signals work and the hazard flashers work. Now the windshield wiper controls work. It has been parked in the shed since June. As for mice I have barncats that seem to control them. Thanks

Re: Early 2000 Tahoe
So now it's just the brake lights that don't work?

Re: Early 2000 Tahoe
Does the 3rd brake light work and did it before this?

Re: Early 2000 Tahoe
Now it does not work..sure it worked this Spring. I only put 3000 miles a year on it. In the Spring 500 miles to the lake to get the pontoon out of storage and into the lake. thanks

Re: Early 2000 Tahoe
With all that said, I would suspect the brake lite switch is bad.

Re: Early 2000 Tahoe
It was the switch. It sure was hard getting my hands up in the small space. Works great. Thanks 777stickman..
