Punctured tyre.

Have a 1996 Nissan Terrano Regulus with near new Hankook DynaPro AT P245/70 R16 106S tubeless tyres. Recently discovered a roughly 11mm long nail shaft in the spare (in the rifts between the tread). Pulled it out and doesn't appear to be leaking but was wondering what your opinions are if the spare was to be used under the load of the truck?
Shall I take it to the garage? leave it? put it under load and test it?
Any help much appreciated thanks!
