Re: door hinges on cab1992 sonoma
IDK if this helps you, but my 98 sonoma's drivers door was pretty bad, the hinges are permanatly attached to the body, they sell a bushing/pin kit that restores the hinge.
Anyone know a trick to installing the spring?? Looks like Im gonna have to take the hinge pins back out, but it looks like the spring would be in the way of installing the pin?? |

Re: door hinges on cab1992 sonoma
You can get a spring removal tool for about 20 bucks from an local auto parts store. If the holes seem to be out of round (egg shapped), you can have the holes in the hinge welded closed and redrill the holes. Not as bad as it sounds. Will still need hinge pin set. Locally available. Trust me, welding hole shut is FAR easier than replacing hinges themselves.
