Camaro SS VS Mustang Cobra

Going on the history of the 2 cars over the years, in my veiw the 2 are neck and neck as to what people think about them.

Me though...it would have to be the Camaro. There's something about owning a Chev

yep stangs look better but theyre nothin compared with the Camaros

the camaros got more power and their hood scoops availble on the SS and ram air firebird are actually functional not like the stangs hood and side vents

its even more pathetic when u see a GT with the optional "bigger" hood scoop on that is still fake, but protrudes out more, probably cathing more air and slowing the car down!

I abhor the humongous dimensions of the contemporary Camaro and Firebird. I know they are better at the strip than the Cobra, and they do have the infamous LS1 V8 (which is in my opinion a much nicer engine - particularly "right out of the box" - than the Mustang V8), but even though the dimensions are pretty close, the Camaro just looks so big and clumsy, and the cabin isn't nearly as nice inside, far as I'm concerned.

Even knowing that I'd get spanked in many a drag race in my DOHC Ford, that's what I'll stick with here.

Well, I choose the Camero. Not because its better looking (and it is better then that shoebox Mustang) but because its over. Done. Finished. It may come back in a few years, but its run its course and its going out with a bang.

I would take the Camaro, just because of he performance #'s. Personally I like the Firebird T/A more than both of them. About the same performance as the Camaro, and much better looking IMO.

If you want to own the car of the GODS!! Go with the Camaro Z28. Mustang is a woman's car. If you ask a girl what SHE wants to drive out of the two, she will say Mustang. Camaro's are too manly for women. Plus, the Z28 is faster than a Cobra. I've races lots of Cobra's in my Z. Beat them all. Some were close, but most weren't even a challenge. :smoker:

Thats one of the great things about the Mustang - it appeals to both male and female. Its a great design.

The Mustang is has a better stereo (the F-body's is geared more toward a lotta base) and it's more drivable around town. But the Camaro SS's prefornmace outways that. It can do really high 12s stock! That's amazine for a big heavy car like that.

Well I would never even cosider a camaro b/c of the styling. Instead I would consider the Firebird, but would end up with the mustang, because they(ford) have finally made them equal this year.

Oh yeah the Cobras IRS makes it handle a ton better. I have test driven them both. The difference is even more noticable if you drive on shitty roads.
