Cowling Stand to Display from Moto

I'm about to finish my first motogp bike and would like to display it separate from the cowlings because I added special details (PE, wiring, colored tubes, etc.) to the moto that I want to showcase. I have seen in the past a custom made cowling stand made out of styrene square tubing but right now I can't find where. I have tubing I can use to build one. The one I saw looked very modern. Do you know of one I can duplicate that is not the hiroboy.com stand? Thanks for reading this thread.

Re: Cowling Stand to Display from Moto

I just saw the thread "Honda NSR 500 Movistar" and while the cowl hanger is very innovative and shows well, is a method to hang the cowls from above and is going to take to much height that I don't have available at home. I need a cowl stand that can be next to the moto.

This like to Joey Ko's work might help for the front cowling. I will keep looking for you for the sides. I have a stand that I made, but it is very simple.

The pics at the bottom show the scratch made stand. i also tried this method, and it was really easy to create. HTH,

Stuart

Hey my friend! Thanks! Joey Ko's stand is good enough! Is that a 1.5 mm tubing? You think that is styrene tubing or a solid piece? Or is it wire? What you think?

His homemade cowl stand tubing looks pretty close to the size of the Top Studio stand he used and the tubing in those are +/- 2.6mm in dia. I have the same TS stand at home and I caliper it. Good luck at the show this weekend!
