Re: B20 Internal work

and either Im a damn good driver or they other driver sucked but I raped a Gsr Stock. My car only has an intake, I think a Si transmission its really short, a Stage 1 clutch. no a/c and a hole in the exhaust pipe lol. Its loud as fuck though. But really what would be a benifit of having a B20 head on a B18 block. I have NEVER heard of anyone doing this on purpose. All i know is its a B20 head from a 2001 Crv. and the horspower rating on edmunds is 150hp I believe. Any ways isnt the normal B18B1 block a higher compression the the B20? So with the more horspower from the B20 head and higher compression wouldnt I get abit more hp?

u are not gonna get more horsepower outta the b20 head. it's almost the same as the LS b18b head.

u already have an intake, go get some headers for your car then put in a set of cams if u want to get some good HP numbers.

the b20 has a lower compression then the b18. and i have a stock clutch on and the act flywheel. and yea it is the 12lb flywheel. i have to get a new clutch b/c the stock one just can't seem to handle the extra hp and torque. i am not too sure yet which clutch to get either. and yea i was dyno'd at 174 horse power. not at the wheels though. i think it said 138 whp. and im definately gong with some racing cams. toda or cower, not sure yet. hard to find some decent cams for a non-vtec. i am looking to get hopefully 160 whp. and i still want a bigger throttle body. damn, well im not too sure than about those damn ludes.

Re: B20 Internal work

3rd gen Ludes (88-91) had b20a and b21a motors actually depending on year
My 89 Si has a b20a5
the 88-89 Si and Si 4WS have the b20a5
the 88-89 S has a carbed b20a3

90-91 2.0Si had a b20a5
90-91 Si, Si 4WS, and Si ALB (ABS equipped) had the b21a1

These are only the USDM models, there was the INX model with a front clip like the Honda Legend and various others that were JDM only releases though.
