Question D15B7 swap to D16Z6 Help!!!

Ok im sure people have asked this a hundred times, but one more time wouldn't hurt, I have a 93 civic DX that I just bought. The person that had it before blew up the engine and bought a D16Z6 VTEC engine to replace it. He paid a guy to put it in but the guy is a retard and did it wrong. He put the old intake on the engine which im not sure works on the VTEC engine??? So i need some help there or should i replace it with the new one. Also he did not wire up the engine correctly I know i need to run two wires from the engine, (Where are the wires from the engine are they the two that he cut off, they are at the left of the head and are at the top. If someone can assure me which wires need to be ran and if i need to change the intake manifold. i do know that i need to change the ecu p06 to p28 ecu. But not real sure where that is located. I have never worked on a honda and i have only looked at this car a couple of times, im getting ready to move it to my garage. thanks for any help

Re: D15B7 swap to D16Z6 Help!!!

You can use the stock intake manifold, but the d16z6 one will give you a little more power. The ECU is on the passenger side of the car, under the dash and to the right (bolted to the wall). The 2 wires are probably the vtec wires. They are infact at the top left (passenger side) of the engine. There should be 2 wires going to the ecu, as well as a ground wire.

Sounds clear to me. Try filing the pin down.
