Unhappy 1995 Jimmy won't start...no spark??

I need help desparately. Our 95 Jimmy died the other day. It turns over and over but won't start. I thought it might be the fuel filter but then I checked the spark plugs and there is nothing. Can someone help me or give me suggestion on what to check?? I can't start it so I can't even get it to the garage to get a reading on the cpu. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanx in advance.

1st Check for spark at the coil itself. If spark is there, look to the cap and rotor, if not, look at your crank sensor (provided you have side post distributor cap) If you have the top post dist cap, check the iginition module underneath the cap.

If you don't have spark at the coil itself, replace the coil. If still dead, replace the coil module attached to the bracket.

That should give you some things to try first.

The starter on mine shit the bed last year but mine didn't even make any noise when I tried to start it. Maybe your EGR valve is blocked. Happened to me before...

The EGR wouldn't cause a no spark condition though.l

Is your truck OBD 1 or OBD 1.5/2, or do you have side or top terminals on your distributor?
