88 crx si w/b16. having problems. PLEASE HELP!

Hello AF, im having issues with my car...

I bought the car running like sh*t because it wasnt wired right. Got it rewired and put in missing 02 censor. im having two problems i can resolve..

1. Vtec not engaging. trowing code 22 (vtec pressure switch). i got a new vtec solenoid and that didnt work. My guess is wiring or ecu. I dont have ohm tester, only volt tester. How do i test wiring and ecu?

2. Fuel seems to cut off after 7k rpm. car runs kind-of-strong (no vtec) until a little past 7k and then engine feels like it revs back, like the fuel cuts off. I was told it was cus i was missing 02, but i put one in and does the same. They told me it could be weak fuel pump but car runs fine until 7k rpm.

im using PR3 ecu and have yet to do a compression test, but car seems to run fine (a lil slugish) I dont have a lot of tools or money....Any ideas?

not sure for two, but one sounds like you need more oil. vtec wont engage unless the oil level is high enough.

why did you replace the solenoid and not the pressure switch? are you still throwing any codes? do a compression check. sounds like my crx when i first bought it. then i found out #3 cylinder was shot.

Engine has oil enough oil, i just changed it. AS for the pressure switch, i changed the whole solenoid unit, including the pressure switch (it should be the bottom plug-in, right?)
