Re: New Here. '94 3800. Bucking. Misfires?
LMP, I am wondering if you have an Adjustable Vacuum Modulator on your van? Sometimes a little more line pressure can help, would also firm up the shifts a bit...

Re: New Here. '94 3800. Bucking. Misfires?
Yes I have the vacuum mod, but not adjustable that I know...Will try that (unplug vacuum, mimics full throttle) also just to see to what extent it changes the behaviour. Others I told the same reported no significant change..a little harsher though at gear shift, normal. Of course, this is just a "test" option cause keeping the pressure high all the time would increase the heat load at the pump regulator and stress all seals continuously . I did just test the vacuum mod unplug at idle some time ago, and I could hear the pump whine increase.
It is noticeable that the "shudder" can be felt at all load conditions, like it was there all the time and just more intense as more torque is applied.... The test will wait a little as I do only city drives at this time. As soon I escape city, I'll try it. I'll test the PWM bypass also....
